Mahdavikia plays against Real Madrid despite speculations

MADRID, Despite German media speculations that Eintracht Frankfurt is going to sell Mehdi Mahdavikia prior to 2008-09 season, the Iranian winger took part against Spain champion Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Frankfurters finished their pre-season campaign on a high following an impressive 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.

Habib Hallaid gave Eintracht the lead seven minutes into the game and prodigy Robinho equalized the match in the 71st minute.

Mahdavikia came into the field as replacement of Japanese Inamoto in the 61st minute.

According to Kicker, Eintracht Frankfurt Chief Heribert Bruchhagen has already confirmed to sell Mahdavikia who is under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 2010.
